2008 New String Art  

Thunderbird, White Wolf, Buffalo and Hummingbird

I have been working on new pieces and finally had the time to get them on the site.  Each of the pieces on this page took 2 to 3 months to complete.  I hope you like them.


  •                                  2008 Thunderbird

    Here is another version of a thunderbird.  It was the first piece that I started and completed this year.  If you click on the picture it will take you to closeups and photos taken while in progress for more detailed pictures.


  •                                                My White Wolf

    I made a white wolf before this one but decided to donate it to a local wolf sanctuary.  Afterwards, I decided to make one more with different shades of whites, greys, and beige for myself.


  •                                          FLAG BUFFALO

    i had to add another patriotic flag based animal and decided on a buffalo. 


  • A Colorful hummingbird

    This is the last piece I started in 2008 and finished just before the end of 2008.  It was done with mostly irredescent and metallic threads.  It's a little out of my normal type of piece but sometimes something different helps me find new methods for stringing other pieces. 

So here you have it .  These are the pieces I started and completed in 2008.  Not a lot for a year's work but each piece I do takes two to three months to do.  And that's not counting the time from when I first decide on a subject and think about how I'm going to do it.
